Enterprise Arcade

We were proud to deliver the full mechanical and electrical building services design for the redevelopment of Enterprise Arcade, an iconic structure in the heart of Southport with deep historical roots and renewed purpose.

Working from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion, our design supported the transformation of this heritage building into a modern co-working and retail hub, tailored for start-ups, creatives, and community-led enterprise.

The project required a sensitive balance between preserving architectural character and integrating contemporary building services that meet today's standards for safety, efficiency, and adaptability.

Our scope included the design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water, drainage, lighting, power, fire safety, and data infrastructure. These systems were carefully coordinated to support the building's new functions while respecting its original fabric.

The refurbished office spaces provide comfortable, climate-controlled environments for small businesses and entrepreneurs—helping to foster innovation and economic growth in the town centre. The ground floor café offers a welcoming social space for residents, visitors, and tenants alike, encouraging footfall and creating a vibrant street-level presence that reconnects the building with the wider community.

We worked closely with Skyline Property Solutions and the wider design team to ensure all services were delivered in line with current regulations and future-ready performance goals. The Enterprise Arcade now stands as a symbol of regeneration—breathing new life into Southport's town centre while honouring its architectural legacy.

Our contribution helped ensure that this historic building continues to serve the community, not just as a place of work, but as a catalyst for connection, creativity, and local pride.
