Omnia MEP Design was appointed by Arcadis to deliver the full mechanical and electrical services design for a new build extension at St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School in Wigan. The project formed part of a strategic expansion to accommodate growing pupil numbers and enhance the school's facilities with modern, energy-efficient infrastructure.

Working from early design stages through to completion, our team developed a fully coordinated M&E solution that supports comfort, safety, and long-term performance—tailored to the operational needs of a busy primary school.

All systems were designed to meet current Building Regulations and Department for Education performance standards, with careful attention to spatial coordination, installation efficiency, and long-term maintainability.

Sustainability and Performance

The extension achieved an EPC A-rating, reflecting Omnia's commitment to low-carbon design and energy-efficient building services. The integration of PV technology and high-efficiency systems supports reduced energy consumption, lower running costs, and long-term environmental benefit for the school.
